To: Marg, Scott, Mick, Martha, and Eleanor.
I went ot work for the McCain family in 1964, and stayed there until 2008.
The only thing I can say about Wallace and his family, is that they all good friends, and I hope this remains as long as I live.
Over the years, Wallace has kicked my ass many of times(and he was always right) Each time that happened I became a better man, and tried harder.
Wallace was like a father to me, and without him I would be in the shape I am today.
The world has lost one of the best, the good Lord had to offer.
Thank you Wallace RIP

On behalf of all employees at our location, I extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Mr. Wallace McCain. Our flags, as with all other locations, are at half mast to acknowledge the accomplishments of Wallace. His dedication to the potato industry which in turn has created and sustained a livelihood for all those who have earned an education and career from it, and certainly to show our respect. We share in your sadness at this time and trust that memories will sustain you through the days ahead. His legacy will live on.

Margaret and family,
I would like to send my condolences. Wallace made it possible for me to survive and grow up in a very decent and good world.
You see, my mother (Madeline Corey) worked for you for 37 years as a trim table lady. She was working there in December of 1968 and we lost our home to a fire, but she went back to work in March of 1968. She actually started at a plant called Tater State in Washburn, Maine. Then McCains bought them out, but I don't know what year. I remember she worked 11-7, 3-11 and the 7-3 shifts. My memories of my mom when I was younger was with a hair net, and a smock that had the smell of french fries.
You had the innovation to start this business and gave my mother a place to work to support her family.
Thank you again and condolences!

Our condolences to Michael, Scott and the entire McCain family. Both Heather and I had the pleasure of working with Wallace at Maple Leaf Foods. Wallace has always been a kind, passionate person, who believed in his family, the company, and its people, and it was an honour having known Wallace.
